Close All Windows - The Easy Way

This program lets you close all running applications with just a single click. It doesn’t use system resources because it only flashes a ‘close’ signal to all open applications on the desktop and then ceases. Just create a shortcut to the tool in the Start Menu, Quick Launch, Windows 7 Taskbar or elsewhere.

How to block visitors or traffic from one or more country

If you have a website which is just relevant for few countries only and you don’t want any unwanted traffic from other countries or you are spammed or attacked regularly from visitors from any country and want to block traffic from that country then you can modify your .htaccess file and block users from those countries.

Lets use service of a sited named www.blockacountry.com

select one or more country from country list to block visitors

  • Now on next screen you can see set of command, copy it and paste it to your .htaccess file, in case if you don’t have it in ftp then kindly talk to your host or create one using notepad or another text editor. This code having set of IP from countries you selected and it simply reject visitors request from those countries.

Copy this generated code, paste it into .htaccess file and upload it to server

Upload that .htaccess file into root of your domain using a ftp client. Every time when a visitor request your site from server it look into .htaccess file and if IP address of that visitor fall with in range of all denied IPs of your .htaccess then it will simply deny visitor request.

In addition to a $50,000 grand prize, the company has just been handed the Disrupt Cup, taking over possession from Disrupt NYC winner Soluto. Upon receiving the cup, CEO Doug Imbruce exclaimed, “Let’s change the world!”

Taking the runner-up spots are CloudFlare and Pinger, both of which were also very impressive.

Qwiki climbed above the rest by offering a new way to consume information: text, audio, video, and images melded together in a seamless interface, generating a dynamic movie of whatever you search for. It really does seem like something from the future, and it’s only going to get better.

Unlock your modem.

How to Unlock the Huawei E220 HSDPA modem.

Huawei e220 or Vodafone e220 is the HSDPA modem we usually get from Dialog Telecom or Mobitel GSM (probably from Airtel) when we purchase a mobile broadband connection. But usually it's operator locked, so we can't switch between networks when the current ISP starts treating us like dust, If you've read my previous post you know I have my reasons to unlock the Huawei e220 modem I got from Dialog Telecom. Here I'm gonna explain how I did that and I'll try to be as simple as I can. But Feel free to ask for help if u need any.

Disclaimer: I’m not responsible, nor will be held liable, for anything you do with the information I provide in this tutorial. Use it at your own risk.

Ok, since we are done with the traditional "Disclaimer" Lets see what you have to do.

First you'll have to download the following tools.
e220 CardLock UnLocker
e220 Updater version 11.117.09.04.00
QC Mobile Analysis Tool
And a Hex editor. But if you do it correctly you can do it with an ordinary text editor too ;)

Or you can download and extract this file. It contains all the tools we need for the job, including a lightweight portable hex editor :)

Basically, Unlocking the e220 is simple as running the E220 CardLock Unlock tool and entering the unlock code and pressing the "Ok" button. But that's when you "know" the unlock code.

So how do we find the unlock code for our modem? that's where the other tools come in handy.

Plug your modem to the computer and run the E220 Updater. Wait till it detects your modem and then press the "Cancel" button. yes! Cancel it! This is just to make it easier for the "real tool" to identify the modem.

Now open the QC BQS Analyzer and click on Hardware forensics menu, select Use Com/USB Port

Now the "QC Com Diag" window should be open. Most of the time your modem and com port is automatically selected on the Serial Com port drop down list. If not you'll have to select it manually. And then click on the "Send Cmd" button and wait till the message "Successfully sent command" appears on the bottom right.

Now Select " Read EFS" from the Diag Functions drop down menu and Click the "Lets go" button. When it asks, enter the file name e220.bin and save it. A message saying "Successfully read EFS" should appear.

Now its time to do some hex reading :) Open the
e220.bin file from your Hex Editor. And search for the ASCII string Sd, (including the comma) or Search for the for the Hex string 53 64 2c
After few random characters you'll see a clean 8 digit code. Believe me, it's easily recognizable and guess what! thats our Unlock code :D
Once you've found the unlock key all you have to do is enter it on the CardLock Unlock utility and click "OK" And your modem is... Unlocked!!! :D

Hope this will be helpful. I'd absolutely love to know your views on this. Good luck with unlocking your modems :)

Where your money goes when you buy an iPhone

There is no doubt that the iPhone is a cash cow for Apple and AT&T. But, behind the iPhone is a long line of other companies who are reaping the benefits of supplying parts and services to Apple. Have you ever wondered how all that money is distributed? GigaOM has put together an incredible info graphic that explains in great detail where all that cash is flowing too.

The graphic does shed some light on to how much AT&T has to fork over to Apple for each phone sold; the graphic states that AT&T does not break even until the 17th month of a 24 month contract for heavy data users. This goes to show that AT&T serves the iPhone as a high volume, low margin type device for the carrier.

It should be noted that some of the numbers in the graphic are estimates but they are reasonable estimates based off of trusted sources and Apple's own earnings.

How to hack into ubuntu with a limited account

Where there is a will, there is a way. In our college department computer lab, we're all given those stupid limited accounts - in both Windows and Ubuntu. And that is crap. We can't install compiz fusion in Ubuntu, while in Windows we can't play those ol' games(Mortal Kombat, Roadrash..) during lab hours :( So I decided to take revenge, and went into this research about hacking into the walls)I'll be updating on certain methods you can use to hack.Adios.
